We have an intriguing matchup this week filled with several subplots:  Old guard (Milwaukee’s Best) vs.  New guard (Dragon Slayers); Elite 8 vs. Elite 8; First ever meeting between the teams;  and both teams sit undefeated at 3-0, collectively having already defeated 5 tournament teams from last year. 

Probably the surprise of the 2010 Tournament, Milwaukee’s Best not only advanced to the Elite 8 as a 24-seed, but it was how they did it that was even more impressive.  After their first-round win, they beat the 9-seed, Keystoners (19-16), and then the 2008 Champion Blue Pups (8-5), before falling to DGS (11-8) in the Elite 8.  And it seems the GOTW voters took notice, as this marks the first GOTW appearance for MB since August 2009, and only their third appearance all-time (they are 0-2 in GOTW).

They will have to overcome a Slayers team that inked their first GOTW victory in Week #1, and is playing their 4^th straight Top 25 team from 2010.  The Slayers will have to get back up for this one, having pulled off a one-run win against the Destroyers last week, and with a Moderately Sober team looming next week who upset the Champion Liberty Square Sliders in Week 1.

There are 31 undefeated teams left – there will at least be 30 after this Big Thursday matchup.
