Immaculate Innings Softball - was established  in  2014, by Coach Drew “The Drew” Dillingham (First of His Name, Lord of the Outfield) with the mission of “smoking fools upon thy diamond.” Since that fateful day, The Team has undergone major trials by fire and beer, experiencing a true rollercoaster of record heretofore unseen in this league. After heavily recruiting for the team during RCIA season, these Swingin’ Saints have finally hit their stride. Notable roster members include: The Lanky One Christian “Gentle Dove” Bernier, Guillermo “for the love of Mike lay off the high ones” Aburto, a smattering of other, much better looking Aburtos, Chorizo Wilson, and Gabriel Topknot Garza. We try not to score so many runs that it’s sinful, and as Catholics, we understand the mercy rule.

In our church, we are used to pipe organs although ours doesn’t play “Take me out to the ball game.” Fr. Charlie says that robbing someone of a home run and stealing base both break the 7th commandment but the ten commandments don’t say anything about disrespecting the umpire on a bad call unless the umpire is your mother or father. Our team mantra is 1 Cor 9:24-27 (look it up). So bring the heat Team Various Positions. You may think you’re all big and tough, but haha… so did Goliath #danielsunderdogs. Good luck and God bless. But seriously, Immaculate Innings is honored to be featured on this week’s “Game of the Week,” thanks to all the folks at House of Softball, and reminds you all to enter into the Sacrament of Confession before receiving Christ in the Eucharist. Deus Vult.

Various Positions - With a heritage built on being proud, single, and willing to play various positions, most of the VP players are now in relationships.  While of the majority of us have paired off and the dating has slowed down, this doesn't mean that the team has slowed down on the field (although age is slowly catching up with us!)  With different variations of the team playing year-round, VP is still a fun team of players who truly love the game.  We play on Mondays and Wednesdays and love to go out.  In the league now for approximately four years, VP has consistently been near the top of the rankings and hopes to again make a strong showing in the tournament.  Fueled this week by various beverages and energy stored up from the July 4th softball drought week,  VP is looking forward to taking on Immaculate Innings, during which we'll do our best to keep our profanity and offensive music to a minimum!
