Victorious Secret - was started by a group of staff assistants in 2012 who had little clue about how the Hill worked and even less about softball. They did learn quickly that Thursday night at Cap Lounge is always a good time, but it took them a bit longer to learn how to play softball. Now, seven years later, most of the original members of the team have moved on from DC, and the team is about half on the Hill and half off. We have no political or state affiliation, but one thing that does bring us all together is a desire to beat the Left Swingers. This story is very reminiscent of the Hatfields and McCoys.  Many years ago these two teams were one, but for reasons most people have forgotten, there are now two teams. We have had some great games over the years and are looking forward to another great game this year. One thing is for sure, no matter the score, our jerseys are way better than theirs.

Left Swingers -they say Democrats are in disarray, but the Left Swingers haven't noticed. Riding high off of three consecutive playoff appearances and in their seventh season, the Left Swingers have shown the league that it can find home base by pitching a big tent to combine forces across the progressive landscape. Knowing that politics makes for strange bedfellows, the Left Swingers don't let party infighting prevent them from forging a path to victory, and they are determined to win this game without letting weather, big mud puddles, or interference by hostile foreign powers get in their way. Originally the same team, Victorious Secret and Left Swingers have both grown into distinct and competitive organizations for the last 8 years. Their politics may be very different, but both teams consistently bring skill and passion to the diamond, especially to their annual face-off.
