In the summer District heat, the Roamin' Catholics entered the Kittens' Den with high stakes: game of the week redemption. But unlike Daniel before them, the Friends of Francis didn't fare as well against the ferocity of their feline fellows. Coming off an early run deficit the Kittens' bats erupted with the glory of Nicholas Cage discovering his National Treasure. Top to bottom the Mitten State's Maulers functioned like a well-oiled Motor City machine all the while making the tough plays look routine. Despite impressive on field play, the Papal Pals' hopes for victory were ultimately sent to meet St. Peter at the pearly gates. The Kittens now look ahead to their next game against House League heavy hitters, the Islanders.
At this time, no interviews may be scheduled with the Kittens, as management insists that the team must focus solely on the task at hand, victory. Autographed, game-worn, jerseys will go on sale in coming weeks. All press inquiries should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
