Monday's GOTW was actually the comeback and probably the game of the year. The game started out with the traditional staredowns, size ups and huddling to inspire their teams. The first inning was quiet, but after the second inning, Lefty was winning 9-1. Lefty continued to swing the bats, and by the end of the top of the sixth, they were up 22-9. VS, after having their two best outfielders collide to make the final out in the last inning, was tired from the heat and the hits, but they were not out. Little did everyone know, after 7 runs in the top of the sixth, it would be Lefty's last runs. VS went on to score 8 in the bottom of the sixth, bringing the score to 22-17. Then we scored 5 more in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 22 and forced the game into extra innings. Despite getting a double to lead off the top of the 8th, the runner got greedy and tried to steal on a pop fly, testing our first basewoman Dana's arm - something they would regret. The bottom of the eighth started with a double, and then there were two quick outs. Our first basewoman Dana was up and hit a hard ball to third. The third baseman who had three home runs on the day and was a sure hand at the hot corner ran out of magic and overthrew the first baseman, giving Victorious Secret at 23-22 win and their first lead of the day.

This game lives up to its hype every year. VS is very happy that we get to talk trash for another 12 months.

Vic, Vic, Victorious!!
