U.S. House Softball League Standings
The U.S. House
Softball League standings are determined by
calculating a team's Ratings Power Index (RPI). If
the name sounds familiar, that's because it is
similar to the formula used for several college
sports. While the RPI uses a weight of 25-50-25 for
the three components, we are using a 40-40-20
standard to give more weight to a team's W-L%.
These standings will determine the tournament
field of 48 teams as well as seeding for the
tournament. The specific formula is as follows:
| RPI = 40%*(team's W/L %) + |
40%*(opponents' W/L %) + |
20%*(opponents' opponents W/L %) |
| [W/L%] |

RS
= Total Runs Scored ; RA = Total Runs Against ;
Rank = League Rank (based on RPI)
